How Does the Red Cross Help During Hurricanes?
When a hurricane or tropical storm strikes, the Red Cross provides shelter, food and comfort.
Hurricane relief donation helps communities before, during and after a hurricane.
Donations give the tools to: stock supplies in preparation for victims, establish safe shelters, provide shelter and food until families can return home as well as hand out food, water and emergency supplies. Donations also help with providing medical care and guidance to those in need. By providing clean up supplies, teams help assess damage and also create recovery plans with disaster donations.

Our People truly are our greatest strength, and we strive to Do What’s Right to take care of them in their times of need. Many of our team members were impacted by Hurricane Sally and a few of them suffered major damage to their homes or vehicles. The Genie Company donated and accepted donations from employees who wanted to contribute to help our team in Pensacola get through this difficult time.
